Advertising in the Times Community Newspapers

The Times Newspapers offer numerous display advertising, classifieds, wrap and insertion options to enable you to target your market precisely. Full color (4-color) printing is also available in all of our newspapers, which distinguishes us from most community newspapers in the nation!

If you are sending advertising artwork, please follow the following guidelines:

1. Please send the artwork in press-ready .pdf format if possible. We can accept some native files, but only on the Windows platform. We cannot use native Mac files. If you use a Mac, save your artwork as either a high-quality (press resolution) .pdf, or export it as an .eps with outlined fonts. Native files we can accept on the Windows platform are Quark XPress 6.0 or lower, CorelDraw 10.0 or lower, Photoshop 6.0 or lower, or Illustrator 8.0 or lower. Be sure to either outline fonts or include them with the file. You can also export your file as a 300 dpi .jpg or .tif file. If you do this, be sure that color ads are exported as CMYK, and black and white ads exported as greyscale.

2. Create your artwork to the dimensions of the ad found on your rate card. There is no full page bleed ("off the edge" page printing) available in the Times Newspapers, and ads are subject to printing at a 3% reduction in final size depending on press requirements.

3. Zip or Stuff your files, and if the final size is 6 megabytes or less, you can email it as an attachment to graphics@timesmediainc.com. If the final size is larger, please visit yousendit.com to upload your file to graphics@timesmediainc.com.
